Teavolve

1401 Aliceanna st
Baltimore, MD 21231

This place specializes in all types of teas. I didn't try any. I'm not big on teas. I like FOOD!
But what I did try was....
Shrimp and grits, apple french toast, red velvet pancakes and an omelet. Oh, and the Passionate Cosmo. Which was Orange Vodka, Passion Fruit Syrup, Cranberry Juice, Cointreau, and a Dash of Lime Juice.

This was my first time having shrimp and grits. I thought it was pretty good!
It was made with Canadian bacon, bell peppers, & red onions in a hot cayenne butter sauce, with sharp cheddar cheese. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I want to go back for more. That should tell you how great it was.
The french toast was just ok. It was just a little dry for me. I had to keeeeep adding syrup. Maybe it was just me. The red velvet pancakes tasted good. They had a nice texture. Better than the french toast. And they actually tasted like red velvet, not just pancakes with red food coloring. I'm getting hungry now...

The omelet you see here is actually not the one I ordered. And I hated it. It was overpowered by spinach and tomato. I guess someone liked it that way. They were nice about it. I wouldn't hold it against them. I would def go back for brunch!

I got the Pugliese Pizza. Olive oil, garlic chicken, caramelized onions, mozzarella, provolone, blue cheese and oregano. My favorite part of this pizza was the caramelized onion! It added a sweetness in with all of that savory cheese flavor. When I first started eating it, my favorite part was the blue cheese. I had never had that on my pizza. It became overwhelming after a while. I actually wanted it to disappear. Still very good. I would get it again...after I try everything else on the menu. The menu is the opposite of extensive, but I still took foreverrrrr to figure out what I wanted to eat. I'm such a pizza lover, I wanted all of them.

This is the "Hamburg." I don't really eat beef, so I can't give my input on this burger. Looked great though. And I heard it was awesome. I actually almost tasted it. The french fries were perfect. But, I did go back again and they were like crackers. They fixed it though. No worries.

DEEP FRIED SUSHIIIIIII!!!!

This is the Volcano Roll. It has tuna, crab meat, and cucumber. Rolled and Fried. Topped with some sort of spicy sauces. I really think the white sauce was mayonnaise. And the red sauce tasted like a spicy ketchup lol. Either way it was good. It was different. And I like different. Crunchy, warm sushi. I believe it's flash fried because it wasn't hot. The tuna wasn't exactly cooked.

This place also has breakfast. I HATE IT!! Everyone loves to come here for breakfast. I'm the odd ball. The breakfast is dry...to me. Maybe I just keep ordering the wrong things. It's not like I'm picky either.

They have a good plum wine tho. I'd get that over and over!

I got the Mango Lobster Roll. This is my favorite roll wherever I go. I love lobster! And the contrast of the mango...Mmmm! It was a lobster mix, with avacado and cucumber, rolled and topped with mango, served witha mango tobiki (fish eggs) and kiwi wasabi sauce.

This place is very, very good, but it's not the best I've had. I think I go there more for the atmosphere. Its very modern. Almost like a club during happy hour, and at the end of the night.

I also got the Ra'ckin Shrimp Tacos. Crispy shrimp with coleslaw and guacamole in a rice paper shell. Not for everybody. The texture may kind of throw people off. The guacamole with the coleslaw sounds nasty. I love it. I think the textures work well. It has sort of a tangy taste from the lime.

If you're looking for sushi and a good time, GO TO THIS PLACE ;)
